Introduction

National Park Authorities are covered by the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002.

England and Wales

Schedule 1 of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 lists:

32 - A National Park authority established by an order under section 63 of the Environment Act 1995.
  • A National Park Authority for the South Downs is expected to be established on 1st April 2010.[1]

Scotland

Schedule 1 of the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 lists:

73 A National Park authority, established by virtue of schedule 1 to the National Parks (Scotland) Act 2000 (asp 10)
