• Summary: The complainant made a request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (the “Act”) to the Imperial College London (the “college”) for information relating to its admissions guidelines. After considering the case the Commissioner is satisfied that the information requested is not held by the college. The Commissioner considers that the request was not however dealt with in accordance with section 1(1)(a) of the Act as the college did not clearly deny that any further information was held. Furthermore the Commissioner considers that section 10(1) of the Act was breached as the college did not comply with section 1(1)(a) within 20 working days of the request.
