== Flowchart ==

The diagram below provides an overview of how the Tribunal and Commissioner have responded to various
Public Interest arguments made by Public Authorities. It doesn’t provide a “line to take” as such, and shouldn’t
be seen as replacing the need for case officers to give full consideration to arguments made in the context of
any particular case. It may, however, be a useful starting point when assessing how much credence to give to
the various arguments. It also provides cross- references to various “lines to take” which give a more detailed
analysis of the ICO’s position on these issues.
