This act provides for the abolition of a large number of bodies and the re-organisation of many others. It lists these bodies in several schedules according to what might happen to them. In general, abolition or re-organisation is implemented by statutory instrument, and such instruments may well amend the Freedom of Information Act 2000 to update or remove references to bodies.

The powers granted by the Act generally expire on 15th February 2017.

Bodies in this schedule can have their functions modified or transferred.
