The Crown Dependencies (Jersey, Guernsey, and the Isle of Man) have largely separate laws from the United Kingdom, and aren't covered by the Freedom of Information Act 2000. Freedom of Information laws in the Crown Dependencies are generally along the lines of those in the UK.

In Jersey, the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011 came into force on 1st January 2015.

In the Isle of Man, the Freedom of Information Act 2015 sets out the rules on public sector transparency.[1]

In Guernsey, the Policy Council investigated Freedom of Information in June, and supported the concept of greater transparency. Guernsey operates a Freedom of Information Code. [2]
